GERALD ANDERSON – Actor Gerald Anderson has finally opened up about the end of his relationship with Julia Barretto, addressing rumors and clearing the name of a volleyball star linked to the controversy.
Gerald Anderson recently reached out to talent manager and showbiz columnist Ogie Diaz to address the controversies surrounding his breakup with Julia Barretto. The Kapamilya star directly clarified speculations linking their split to volleyball player Vanie Gandler.
According to Ogie, “Tumawag si Gerald para linawin ang isyu sa breakup nila ni Julia Barretto. Una na diyan ang kanyang paglilinaw na hindi si Vanie Gandler ang dahilan.” Gerald strongly emphasized that Gandler had nothing to do with the breakup, stressing that the issue had long been circulating but was entirely baseless.
“Matagal na raw itong Vanie Gandler isyu, pero ito’y wala raw katotohanan talaga. Ni hindi nga raw niya ito kilala nang personal o nakakausap o nakakatext o katawagan. Nanonood lamang daw siya ng laro ng volleyball pero hindi para tutukang panoorin si Vanie. Ini-link lang siya dito,” Ogie quoted Gerald as saying.
The actor also admitted to owning up to his part in the split, though he opted not to go into detail. “Sinabi pa ni Gerald na iba ang dahilan, at inako rin niya na siya ang may kasalanan ng breakup nila ni Julia pero hindi na ito idinetalye pa ni Gerald.”
Gerald’s decision to speak up came after Star Magic officially confirmed the end of his relationship with Julia, known by fans as “Jurald.” Still, the actor stressed that his priority was to clear the name of the volleyball star who was unfairly dragged into the issue. “Tumawag lang daw siya sa amin para sabihing walang kinalaman ang naturang volleyball player,” Ogie relayed.
Amid the storm of negative reactions online, Gerald admitted the situation has deeply affected him. “Pag-amin pa ni Gerald, durog na durog na siya sa mga naglalabasang bashing sa kanya. Kaya sana raw ay matigil na ang issue.”
