Rufa Mae Quinto Clarifies Rumors About Late Husband’s Benefits
RUFA MAE QUINTO – Comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto has finally spoken up about rumors accusing her of immediately claiming her late husband Trevor Magallanes’ death benefits.
Rufa Mae Quinto has openly responded to accusations surrounding her late husband’s passing, clarifying rumors about money matters that have been circulating online.
In a 21-minute vlog uploaded on her official YouTube channel, the comedienne and actress addressed sensitive questions about her marriage to Trevor Magallanes, their life together, and the aftermath of his death earlier this year. Some netizens had speculated that she immediately withdrew or collected her husband’s money.

“Marami pong nag-isip na masaya ako dahil kinubra ko yung pera niya,” Rufa said, directly confronting the allegations. She emphasized that their marriage was built on love and family, not financial gain. “Kami po ni Trevor nag-asawa po kami para bumuo ng pamilya. Late na ako nag-asawa kasi sinigurado ko na yung mapapangasawa ko ay habang buhay,” she added.
The actress further explained that money was never an issue in their relationship. “Yung mga nag-iisip na kumupit ako, or nagkubra ng pera, or nag-withdraw sa bank account, eh una, mag-asawa po kami, hindi po kami nagkaproblema sa pera kahit kailan dahil simple lang po ang buhay namin,” Rufa clarified.
She also revealed that Trevor had made sure to secure the future of their daughter, Athena, and herself. “Hanggang sa huli, ako po at ang anak ko ang inayos niya ang benefits namin,” she shared. However, despite this preparation, Rufa admitted that the process of claiming death benefits has been slow. “Wala po akong nakuha kahit magkano. Wala pa. Marami po kasing prosesyo yan,” she explained.
Through her vlog, Rufa expressed her disappointment over the unfounded assumptions but remained steadfast in affirming her family’s simplicity and contentment during her husband’s lifetime. She highlighted that no disputes about finances ever occurred between them, underscoring the strength of their bond.
Amid grief and public scrutiny, Rufa Mae Quinto stood firm in clearing her name, stressing that her late husband’s memory and the well-being of their daughter remain her top priority.
