Sen. Imee Marcos Supports Brother Bongbong’s Lifestyle Check Order among Public Officials
IMEE MARCOS – The Senator reacted to the “lifestyle check” order of President Bongbong Marcos among the government officials.
The current ties between PBBM and his sister, Senator Imee, has left countless Filipinos confused. Amid the rift between the President and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, the presidential Sister maintained her great relationships with the Duterte family. She even left her brother’s senatorial slate during the 2025 Midterm Elections and was endorsed by the Vice President.
She also previously claimed that the government now is allegedly not led by a Marcos but by a Romualdez and an Araneta — seemingly referring to the House Speaker and the First Lady. Amid her tirades, Sen. Imee Marcos previously claimed that there’s no “family feud” between her Pres. Bongbong Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez. She made the claim amid her call for the ouster of her cousin as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Senator Imee also skipped the 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA) of her brother. Several others who did not attend the said annual event held last July were Duterte allies — senators Bato dela Rosa, Bong Go, Robin Padilla, and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte herself. It was the Vice President’s second time to ditch SONA.
Recently, amid the issues on the flood control projects in the different areas across the nation, Pres. Bongbong Marcos ordered a “lifestyle check” among all government officials. It came after he also flagged down 15 contractors for being awarded with 20% of the P545-billion flood control projects of the country from July 2022 to May 2025.
Marcos Jr. stressed that the amount spent on the government flood control deals is “enormous”. Here are the 15 contractors named by the President during a press conference:

The “lifestyle check” order of Pres. Bongbong Marcos among all government officials elicited different opinions from the public officials. Recently, presidential sister and Sen. Imee Marcos revealed her side on the mandate of her brother.
Sen. Imee Marcos supports the “lifestyle check” order of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. However, based on a post of TV Patrol on social media, the presidential Sister stressed that the assessment should be in-depth and those who failed must really be jailed.
“Imbestigahan kung talagang may negosyo o minana na negosyo at higit sa lahat dapat may makulong kasi parang wala namang ending ‘to,” Sen. Imee Marcos said based on the post.
Aside from Sen. Imee Marcos, another senator, Senate Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros, also reacted to the “lifestyle check” order of Marcos Jr. among the public officials.
