Malacañang Announces Order of Pres. Bongbong Marcos for “Lifestyle Check” among Gov’t Officials

BONGBONG MARCOS – The President ordered the “lifestyle check” of all government officials as announced by Malacañang amid the flood control projects investigation.

Currently, among the controversial issues in the Philippines are the alleged anomalous flood control projects in the different areas across the nation. In Bulacan, several government-funded projects left the President scratching his head for finding either nothing built nor a “substandard” structure.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos was left angry by the P55-million ‘ghost’ Riverwall in Bulacan as well as another flood control project in the province that was found to have been built using “substandard” materials. The Chief Executive even called out the St. Timothy Construction which was the contractor of the said project to explain what happened.

Amid the flood control projects issue, Malacañang recently announced that Pres. Bongbong Marcos ordered a “lifestyle check” among the officials of the government. Based on a video report of ABS-CBN News, the “lifestyle check” will begin with the officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

“Ang bawat ahensya ay mayroon naman po na pwedeng magkaroon ng lifestyle check. Ang Ombudsman pwede mag initiate, ang BIR pwedeng mag-inspect. Sa bawat ahensya na may sakop, DPWH pwede rin po. So kung sino po ‘yung ahensya na dapat magkaroon ng lifestyle check, gawin po ninyo,” Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro said based on the post.
