Statement of Duterte’s ICC Lawyer on Harry Roque
Duterte’s ICC lawyer Nicholas Kaufman stressed that Harry Roque is a “fugitive from justice in the Philippines” and the former President does not want him to engage in his case before the International Criminal Court.
Several family members of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte have claimed that the former Chief Executive is as thin as “skin and bones” now. According yo his ex-wife, Elizabeth Zimmerman, he lost his appetite on food and spends most of his time sleeping and watching television.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also confirmed that former Pres. Duterte is “skin and bones” now but claimed that she prefers his slim physique. According to the Vice President, his previously physique with a huge belly looked unhealthy for his heart. She also claimed that the public may have yet to see her father as thin as he is now.

On the interim release bid of her father, Vice Pres. Duterte claimed that there are needs of the former President that cannot be provided inside the ICC detention facility. According to her, the former President may be called a “super senior” citizen and he may be taken cared of better if there would be a nurse or a caregiver.

Amid his pending interim release bid, the legal team of the former President asked the ICC to hold off in deciding about it. According to Nicholas Kaufman, Duterte’s ICC lawyer, they still await some documents and information that would support the interim release bid of the former President.

Recently, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s ICC lawyer spoke about former presidential spokesman Harry Roque. Based on a post on GMA News, British-Israeli lawyer Nicholas Kaufman claimed that “the former President has expressed no desire to see Harry Roque nor to be assisted by him”.
Furthermore, based on the post, Duterte’s ICC lawyer also said that “Harry Roque is a fugitive from justice in the Philippines”. According to him, former Pres. Duterte thinks that it would be better if Roque will not interfere in his ICC case.

Former presidential spokesman Harry Roque has called on the ICC lawyer of former Pres. Duterte to end the “blame game”. He denied meddling in the ICC case of the former President.
