With half of the winning senatorial candidates coming from other slates and parties, Malacañang reiterated that the Marcos administration welcomes the leaders regardless of what “color” they came from. Based on a report on Inquirer, Palace press official Atty. Claire Castro expressed the hope of Pres. Bongbong Marcos that all candidates will work to respond to the needs of the people.

The Palace also admitted that while Pres. Bongbong Marcos expects the presence of the incoming legit members of the opposition, the administration will fight the “obstructionists” who are only after their own self-interest. Based on the report, Castro stressed that these people may be in disguise as oppositionists.

Following the recently Midterm polls, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also issued a statement where she expressed her disappointment over the 2025 Elections results.
