Pres. Bongbong Marcos Thanks Filipinos for Voting during 2025 Midterm Elections
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President issued a statement after the May 2025 Elections to express her gratitude to the Filipinos.
The Philippines held local and national elections yesterday, May 12. The Filipino people once again voted for another seat of senators who will join the incumbent lawmakers in the Senate. The Marcos administration has its own bets in the senatorial race.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos endorsed the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago senatorial candidates. The grand alliance which is composed of several huge political parties in the country including the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas of the President endorsed 11 senatorial candidates after Senator Imee Marcos left the team.

Presidential sister and Sen. Imee Marcos left the Alyansa after the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. She led a Senate investigation on his arrest and the transfer of his custody to The Hague and she believes there is seemingly no due process in his arrest.

Vouching for the senatorial bets of the Alyansa, Pres. Bongbong Marcos campaigned fervently for the candidates of the grand alliance. Now that the 2025 Elections are over, the Chief Executive released a statement following the 2025 Elections.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Pres. Marcos thanked every Filipino who voted in the 2025 Elections. According to the President, the Filipinos have once again renewed the democracy “peacefully, orderly, and with dignity”.
Marcos Jr. stated that the Filipino people elected leaders who will listen and work on the pressing issues in the country now. He thanked the people who supported the Alyansa. He also recognized the courage of those candidates who did not make it but have stood up for public service. The Chief Executive cited his late father’s statement in his post:

Amid the issues over Duterte’s arrest, Pres. Bongbong Marcos made no mention of his sister, Senator Imee, in one of the campaign sorties of the Alyansa.
