Veteran Game Show Host Willie Revillame Takes Chances in 2025 Senatorial Race
WILLIE REVILLAME – The Filipino TV host revealed his plan on what laws to push for if he wins a seat in the Senate this May 2025 Elections.
There are several known personalities in other fields who are running for senator in the May 2025 Midterm polls. One of them is Willie who is running as an independent candidate in the senatorial race. He has visited several provinces already for the campaign.
Willie Revillame previously said that he does not have a platform as he has a simple goal which is to help the poor. The veteran game show host cited that he has been helping people who are victims of poverty for 27 years now without having a platform.
Willie or also popularly called as Kuya Wil said that his platform is to help the poor and not to steal the money of the government. He also previously called on the Filipinos to vote for the people who are already serving the Filipinos ever since and does not only end in making promises.
“Dapat piliin talaga yung nagsisilbi noon pa. Yung hindi nangangako at yung may ginagawa para sa inyo. Piliiin niyo yung makapagbibigay ng magandang buhay. Kelangan may puso para sa bayan,” he expressed.
In an exclusive interview with Boy Abunda, Willie Revillame unveiled his plan in case he wins as senator in the May 2025 Elections. According to the independent senatorial candidate, he wanted to push for the laws that would benefit the poor Filipinos. He stressed that there must be laws that look after the underprivileged Filipinos.
“Alam mo para sa akin, batas para sa mahirap. Dapat may batas tayong tumitingin sa ating mga kapos-palad na kababayan. Sino ba mga bumoboto? Sino mga tumatangkilik sa atin, mahihirap. Dapat ibinabalik din natin sa kanila ‘yan… Batas para sa mahihirap,” he said.
During the interview, Willie Revillame plans to create laws for health, work, investors, and the needs of the youth. He stressed that the poor Filipinos need to live well and not just deal with situations wherein they are living with illnesses, jobless, and no access to education.
Willie is one of the most popular personalities in the Philippine showbiz industry when it comes to game show hosting. He was the host of the hit game shows Wil To Win, Wowowillie, Wil Time Bigtime, Wowowee, and Wowowin among others.
Sadly, amid the election campaign period, the mother of Willie Revillame died at the age of 79.
