Alyansa Candidate Benhur Abalos Speaks on Grand Alliance, Message for Filipino Voters
BENHUR ABALOS – The former Interior Secretary who belongs to Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago senatorial slate called on Filipinos to remember that their team is “pro-Philippines”.
For the upcoming May 2025 Elections, several huge political parties in the Philippines merged to form a grand alliance. The Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago is composed of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas Federal Party of the Philippines, the Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats People Power–Christian Muslim Democrats, (Lakas-CMD), the National Unity Party (NUP), the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), and the Nacionalista party.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos leads the campaign for the Alyansa bets. His sister, Senator Imee Marcos, was previously part of the Alyansa but she left the slate after the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. His custody was transferred to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague as well.

Following the exit of Sen. Imee Marcos, Pres. Bongbong Marcos changed the chant of the Alyansa. Previously, he called the grand alliance’s slate as his dream team. According to him, the administration supports the candidacies of the people who all have an experience in public service. He called on the Filipinos to not vote “all talk” candidates.

Amid the issues against the government over its alleged surrender of former Pres. Duterte, a Filipino citizen, to the foreign authorities, Alyansa bet Benhur Abalos stressed that the grand alliance is pro-Philippines.

Based on a report on Inquirer, Benhur Abalos stressed that the sovereignty of the Philippines is important and no foreigner must be allowed to interfere with the Philippine elections.

“Piliin natin ang may puso, may alam, at may paninindigan. Tandaan n’yo: ang Alyansa ay Pro-Pilipinas,” the Alyansa bet expressed.
Benhur Abalos stressed that the Philippines is for the Filipinos. According to him, no foreigner must be allowed to get involved in the elections in the country because when it happens, it is allegedly a form of control. He stressed that no Filipino should allow it.
