Pres. Bongbong Marcos Assures Workers Gov’t Will Be “Active Partner” in Creating Bagong Pilipinas

BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President gave a message for the Filipino workers on the Labor Day celebration today, May 1, 2025.

There are several Philippine holidays this 2025 and most of them are regular holidays and special non-working days. Today, May 1, 2025, is a regular holiday in the country in celebration of the Labor Day. It is celebrated to recognize the works and contributions of the laborers to the development and achievements of the country.

Usually, the highest officials of the government issues a special message for the workers on the Labor Day celebration. Pres. Bongbong Marcos has released his message for the laborers wherein he assured the workers that the government will be an active partner in the creation of Bagong Pilipinas.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, on Labor Day, Pres. Bongbong Marcos assured the workers that the government will not only be watchers of the progress of the country but as well as one with the people in creating a society that is fair and just. According to him, the government knows that the progress of the country is on the hands of the people.

“Alam namin na sa inyo nakasalalay ang kaunlaran ng ating bansa kung kaya’t patuloy ang mga proyektong magsusulong sa inyong paglago at kasaganahan,” the President said.

Based on the report, in his message for the laborers, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also assured the government’s commitment to not neglect the workers but help them not only as a fulfillment of the responsibility of the state but also as gratitude and in recognition of the real worth and sacrifice of the laborers.

According to the President, the policies that should be implemented must mirror the conviction that the country’s true wealth is not measured by its income but by the dignity of the person who perseveres in working. Marcos stressed that Labor Day celebration is the right chance to make concrete ways to fulfill the needs of every Filipino family, ensure the workers’ safety at work, and protect the right for a bright future.

Before the start of a new month, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also graced the graduation of the PNPA Sinaglawin Class of 2025 with his presence and delivered a message. He expressed a strong reminder for the graduates on what their duties call them to be and the opportunities it present to serve the Filipino people and the country.
