Sen. Imee Marcos Speaks on BBM, Alleged Status of Country Now
IMEE MARCOS – The Senator claimed that she is praying for President Bongbong Marcos to be back in the right path amid her belief that he is getting bad advices from other people.
Countless people are confused over the relationship between Pres. Bongbong Marcos and Sen. Marcos now. Visibly, the Marcos siblings are on the opposing sides with regards to the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos earned a lot of bashing and criticisms over the arrest of Duterte. Malacañang claimed that the government is just doing its job. The President claimed that every single necessary step was followed in the arrest of the former President.
Following Duterte’s arrest, Sen. Imee Marcos skipped the Alyansa campaign sorties in Tacloban and Cavite. According to her, she could not accept what was done to Duterte and she wants to find a way to enlighten the people over what happened.
Marcos claimed that she was shocked by the arrest of Duterte. She led the Senate Foreign Relations committee in investigating the arrest of the former President amid her brother earning criticisms over the issue.
Recently, Sen. Imee Marcos spoke on Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Senator believes that the President could be getting bad advices from the people around him. She stressed that she does not know who advises PBBM but she prays that he will be back on the right path.
“Hindi ko maintindihan kung sino talaga ang nag-a-advise… Kaya sana pinagdadasal ko lagi ang aking kapatid na mabalik sa tamang landas dahil hindi na tama itong mga pangyayari, itong politika na mapang-ape, mga pahigante, hindi na siya ayos. Tutukan natin ang problema ng mamamayan. Balikan natin ang ating tungkulin,” the Senator said.
Based on the report, Sen. Imee Marcos claimed that their family is already lucky to be given another chance to be back in power and clarify their real legacy. However, according to her, she feels regretful that three (3) years have been allegedly wasted already in taking revenge and fighting.
According to the Senator, she and her brother have not talked as she has not been able to reach him anymore. She stressed that she is sad over the situation and she is not proud of it.
Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte endorsed the senatorial bid of Sen. Imee Marcos. The Senator is not anymore part of the Alyansa Para sa Pagbabago led by BBM.
