Actor Sam Milby on Breakup with Catriona Gray: “It’s been really rough”
SAM MILBY – The actor turned emotional on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda while talking about his breakup with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.
Countless people were saddened by the breakup of Sam and Catriona. It was in February when the Everything About My Wife actor confirmed that he and the Miss Universe 2018 have ended their engagement, almost a year after breakup rumors crossed the surface.
Sam Milby and Catriona Gray brought kilig to countless people when they admitted their relationship in 2020. Undeniably, many of their fans and supporters believe that they are really a match made in Heaven. The two celebrities are both good looking and are known for their kindness.
In 2023, Sam and Catriona revealed their engagement. They were expected to officially tie the knot in 2024 as mentioned by the Miss Universe 2018. However, last year, breakup rumors crossed the surface.
Both Sam and Catriona were mum about their breakup until recently when the actor was asked during an interview. He appeared as the guest on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
The interview started smooth with Sam being so energetic talking about the times when he was younger and when he first entered showbiz. The talk went deeper when Tito Boy asked the actor how he handles breakups.
Sam Milby admitted that he that he does not handle breakups well but explained that splits can happen in different situations. He stressed that “any breakup is not easy” regardless of the situation.
“Honestly, not well… It’s hard to talk about ‘yung breakup namin. It’s something that I didn’t wanna talk about,” the actor said when asked about his breakup Catriona.
Sam clarified that he did an interview with ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe just to clarify the issue. According to him, he felt the need to clear it out that there was no third party and that Moira dela Torre was not a third party in their breakup.
During the interview, Sam Milby stressed that he and Catriona Gray have always been private about their relationship and he does not feel comfortable talking about their relationship out of respect for his ex-fiancée. Tito Boy raised that some fans and some people think that the actor has moved on and things are easy for him.
“It’s been rough. No breakup is easy. It’s really been rough. It wasn’t only mag-boyfriend, girlfriend kami. We were engaged. To have that not pushed through, it’s been really rough, honestly,” Sam expressed.
Sam Milby went emotional and was not able to hold back his tears. He stressed that he did not expect to be emotional and he apologized for it. According to him, he really does not want to talk about his breakup with Catriona Gray.
“If people think that it has been easy… I’m not an emotional person. I don’t want to go into details. The more you talk about any issue, mas maraming bala yung mga tao to use against you… There’s no point. I have so much love and respect on both sides,” the actor said during the interview.
Previously, Sam Milby revealed that he is not friends anymore with Moira dela Torre who was linked as the alleged 3rd party in his breakup with Catriona Gray.
