Actor Sam Milby Speaks on Cheating & Second Chances at Movie Press Con
SAM MILBY – The Kapamilya actor-singer admitted that he believes in giving second chances citing the human tendency to make mistakes.

Undeniably, many individuals are on the side of taking giving a second chance non-negotiable if the mistake committed in a relationship is infidelity. On the other side, there are also those who believe in second chances — one of them is actor Sam Milby.
Sam Milby has just confirmed his breakup with Catriona Gray. He and the Miss Universe 2018 were together for more than three (3) years before they got engaged in 2023. However, in 2024 which was supposedly the year set for their wedding, breakup rumors crossed the surface.
Recently, at the press conference of the upcoming movie Everything About My Wife, Sam Milby revealed his take about cheating and giving second chances. The actor is one of the stars of the said upcoming film alongside Kapuso couple Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado.
Dennis and Jennylyn play the characters of a married couple in Everything About My Wife. Their marriage is going through a rough patch and her character was shown in the teaser appearing to have fallen for the character of Sam.
In real-life, Sam Milby believes that there is a thing called “emotional cheating”. According to the actor, betrayal does not have to be physical to be an infidelity.
During an interview with Pep after the press conference for Everything About My Wife, Sam Milby also revealed that he believes in giving second chances to cheaters. According to the actor, he has friends who have committed infidelity. For him, acknowledging the mistake and showing remorse are important.
“We’re human. We make mistakes... If you show remorse. If you show an effort na parang, ‘I made a mistake. I’m so sorry. I will make all the effort para bumawi,” the actor said.
Although he believes in second chances, based on the article, Sam Milby clarified that the chance still depends on the person who is wronged. He stressed that it is hard and the right to give a chance is on the person who was cheated on.
“Humility is so important for me. Humility and honesty… Obviously, it’s a different thing when you’re married,” the actor-singer said.
Based on the article, Sam stressed that the choice is on the person who is wronged as he/she can leave or give another chance if the other person is sincere. According to him, the person who committed a mistake can make up for the mistake.
During his recent breakup, there were rumors that linked Moira dela Torre as the third party in Sam Milby and Catriona Gray’s breakup and the actor clarified it. Both Sam and Moira earned bashing.
