Actor Sam Milby Reveals Take on Cheating
SAM MILBY – The Everything About My Wife actor spoke about his belief that cheating is not all about physical as it can be emotional.
Undeniably, cheating is one of the main causes of most breakups across the globe. It has even destroyed countless marriages. For many people, physical cheating is considered a non-negotiable in continuing a relationship. For actor Sam, cheating does not have to be physical to call it cheating.
Sam Milby who recently confirmed his breakup with Catriona Gray worked on a movie with Kapuso stars Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado, a real-life couple. They did the film Everything About My Wife wherein the real-life couple plays the role of a married couple whose marriage is going through a rough patch.
In the trailer of the film, a glimpse showing Jennylyn’s character falling for the role played by Sam was shown. Based on an article on Pep, the actor revealed his side about cheating at the press conference of their upcoming movies.
According to Sam Milby, there are different kinds of cheating but most people are looking into the physical aspect. He raised the term “emotional cheating”. The actor stressed that the couple must be aware of their boundaries when it comes to dealing with people of the opposite gender.
“If you’re married, if you’re giving in, if you’re emotionally attached… and you’re giving in to that,” the actor said as he described emotional cheating.
Based on the article, Sam Milby emphasized at the press con that such situation is also a form of cheating for him as the person is giving in a part of himself/herself which was supposedly given to his/her partner.
The actor recognized that “temptation is always around”. According to him, acting on what you see on social media while being in a relationship can be cheating. He stressed that leading someone on is emotional cheating.
In real-life, Sam Milby has recently received bashing for allegedly having a third party in his breakup with Catriona Gray in the person of Moira dela Torre. The actor has clarified the issue after he confirmed that he and the Miss Universe 2018 who was engaged in 2023 have parted ways.
