Amid the Issue, Maris Racal Breaks Silence on Affair with Anthony Jennings
Maris Racal admitted that her breakup with Rico Blanco was triggered by the brewing attraction between her and Anthony Jennings.
The netizens feasted on the screenshots posted by Jam Villanueva, the ex-girlfriend of actor Anthony Jennings, which showed the private conversation between the actor and Maris. It earned the two (2) celebrities massive criticisms from the people online.
Undeniably, while some people showed compassion on Maris, many were left disappointed by the side that Jam Villanueva has presented on her Instagram Stories. It showed a betrayal from two (2) people who broke a 7-year relationship.
Jam Villanueva and Anthony Jennings whom she calls “Michael” were already together even before the latter entered showbiz. He’s paired with Maris Racal in several projects and they are also part of the cast members of the upcoming Kapamilya show Incognito which also star Daniel Padilla and Richard Gutierrez.
Amid the issues, in an interview with ABS-CBN News, Maris Racal recently broke her silence and expressed her apology for everything. According to the actress, she was in a very dark place then when the thing between her and Anthony Jennings started. According to her, she got from the actor the kind of attention that she needed that time.
“I was in a very dark place. I was lonely and I was getting attention from Anthony, the kind of attention that I needed. When I sensed that there was a brewing attraction between Anthony and I, nadala ako sa emotions ko. And I knew that was wrong,” she said.
Then, Maris Racal was still in a relationship with Rico Blanco. According to the actress, she told the singer everything and they broke up. Her recent claim is contrary to her previous statement that Anthony Jennings was out of the picture on her breakup with Rico.
“I came clear right away. I told my ex everything and I admitted things to him and then we broke up. The reason why I became so, so emotional during that interview is because I was holding back the truth,” Maris said.
During the interview, Maris said that it was really hard for her after her breakup with Rico. When she started working with Anthony again, the actress claimed that she told him that she and her ex-boyfriend have broken up and the actor allegedly told her the same with him and his ex-girlfriend.
Maris Racal stressed she really thought that Anthony Jennings was single. According to her, it was only after Jam Villanueva has posted the screenshots when she realized that he and Jam were still together then.
