Guide on Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan Offer for Victims of Typhoon Kristine
PAG-IBIG CALAMITY LOAN – The victims of severe tropical storm Kristine who are members of the Fund may turn to their Calamity Loan offer.
Severe tropical storm Kristine left several areas in the Philippines in deep flooding and in a greatly devastated state. Many parts of Camarines Sur were submerged in flood. The heavy rains caused the canals to overflow and the strong winds has brought down several trees and roofs.
Countless families lost their homes and livelihoods to severe tropical storm Kristine. Many people in Naga City were stuck in their roofs for several hours after the flood reached roof-level in low-lying areas. Currently, many individuals are staying in evacuation centers after they lost their homes to the flood.
During times like this, individuals who have maintained updated memberships to the social insurance institutions and state entities may turn to calamity offers. One of these calamity loan-offering state entities is the Pag-IBIG Fund.
While the GSIS has activated the Emergency Loan offer for its qualified members amid the onslaught of tropical storm Kristine, the members of the Pag-IBIG Fund may turn to the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan offer which has the following qualifications for application:
- at least twenty-four (24) monthly membership savings under the Pag-IBIG Regular Savings
- in active membership, by having at least one (1) monthly membership savings within the last six (6) months prior to the date of loan application
- existing Pag-IBIG Housing Loan, Multi-Purpose Loan and/or Calamity Loan accounts must not be in default if there is
- gainfully employed or self-employed with proof of income
Aside from the eligibility requirements, there are documentary requirements in applying for the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan offer. The lists of documents required by the state entity depend if the member-borrower is locally-employed, self-employed, or an overseas Filipino worker (OFW).
Locally-Employed Members
- duly-accomplished and signed Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan Application Form
- one (1) photocopy of valid ID acceptable to the Fund
- proof of income:
- The employer must accomplish the “Certificate of Net Pay” portion at the back of the application form or submit a photocopy of one (1) month latest payslip duly authenticated by the company’s authorized signatory”
Self-Employed Members
- duly-accomplished and signed Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan Application Form
- one (1) photocopy of valid ID acceptable to the Fund
- proof of income (any of the following):
- one (1) photocopy each of the ITR, Audited Financial Statements, and Official Receipt of tax payment from bank supported with DTI Registrant and Mayor’s Permit/Business Permit
- one (1) original copy of the Commission Vouchers reflecting the issuer’s name and contact details
- one (1) original copy of the Bank Statements or passbook for the last 12 months
- one (1) original copy of the Certified True Copy of Transport Franchise issued by appropriate government agency
- one (1) original copy of the Certificate of Engagement issued by the owner of business
- one (1) original copy of Notarized Affidavit of Income (HQP-SLF-136)
OFW Members
- duly-accomplished and signed Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan Application Form
- one (1) photocopy of valid ID acceptable to the Fund
- proof of income (any of the following):
- Employment Contract
- Employment Contract between employee and employer (1 Photocopy); or
- POEA Standard Contract (1 Original)
- Certificate of Employment and Compensation (CEC)
- CEC written on the Employer/Company’s official letterhead (1 Original); or
- CEC signed by employer (for household staff and similarly situated employees) (1 Original), supported by a photocopy of the employer’s ID and passport
- Income Tax Return filed with Host Country/Government (1 Original)
- Employment Contract
Aside from the Calamity Loan offer, the Fund has several other Pag-IBIG Loans that members may apply for.
