Mylah Roque, Harry Roque’s Wife, Faced with Arrest Order Issued by House
HARRY ROQUE’S WIFE – Mylah Roque who is faced with an arrest order issued by the House Quad Committee has left the Philippines according to the Bureau of Immigration.
Several known personalities are faced with accusations linking them to illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in the country. One of them is Attorney Harry Roque, the presidential spokesman during the term of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Roque was dragged into the issue of illegal POGOs after a letter of him was found by the authorities in Lucky South 99, a raided POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga. He was accused of being the chief of the legal department of the illegal POGO.
Atty. Harry Roque denied the allegation. He admitted to working for the Whirlwind Corporation. the company that allegedly leased the building where the Lucky South 99 is operating. He was previously invited by the Senate in a hearing.
Roque said that he will expose the POGO protectors in the Senate hearing but he did not. More than a week ago, the House of Representatives cited the lawyer for contempt after he failed to submit the documents they require.
An arrest order was issued by the House Quad Committee against the former presidential spokesman. The House QuadComm also issued an arrest order against Harry Roque’s wife, Mylah Roque, for snubbing the subpoena issued to her. The wife of the lawyer was also cited in the immigration lookout bulletin.
Recently, the Bureau of Immigration confirmed that Mylah Roque has left the Philippines. Based on a report on Inquirer, Immigration spokesperson Dana Sandoval revealed that Harry Roque’s wife is out of the country since September 3.
With regards to the former presidential spokesman, there are no records of departure according to the immigration bureau. He has been making statements on social media and he also sought protection through a writ of amparo filed by his daughter before the court but it was denied.
It was immigration lookout order or LBO that was issued on Harry Roque’s wife. Thus, while the authorities may know if she has left the country as the immigration is mandated to inform the authorities if there are records of departure, the immigration authorities cannot restrict an individual from leaving.
Amid airing his sentiments online, Harry Roque was previously challenged by a House member to man up and face them.
