The Filipino gymnast stunned not only his fellow Filipinos but as well as the foreign spectators and even his contenders in the Summer Game event with his amazing performance.
Beyond his expectation, the day after he won his first Olympic gold medal, Caloy won in men’s vault events getting him another Olympic gold medal for the Philippines. With his double gold wins in the Olympics, rewards keep on adding for Yulo.
With regards to the monetary reward, at least Php 33 million awaits Carlos Yulo aside from the house and lot in Tagaytay and the condo unit pledged by Megaworld. Vikings Restaurant and several other private entities also show their appreciation to the success of Yulo through rewards.
However, on the other side of his success in the Olympics, it was unveiled before the public that Carlos Yulo and his mother, Angelica Yulo, have a rift. It is over the money issues regarding his previous incentives that was allegedly handled by his mother and her alleged disapproval of her son’s girlfriend, Chloe San Jose.
After Caloy made his claims and defended Chloe saying she uses her own money, Angelica appeared in a press conference. She apologized to her son and expressed her willingness that they would settle the issue within their family.
Angelica Yulo admitted that she’s blocked her son on Messenger and has not posted anything about him since they had an issue. Meanwhile, she congratulated her son on his recent success in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“Sa’kin lang po, personal na po namin itong problem, ayaw ko na rin po masyado ‘tong pag-usapan,” Caloy said.
Based on the report, Caloy wants to focus the attention in celebrating the hardwork and achievement of the Filipino athletes in the 2024 Paris Olympics. According to him, he is very proud of the Filipino athletes even those who lost in their sports event citing their dedication, effort, and courage to show up and compete.
“Nasa inyo ang suporta ko, mahal na mahal ko kayo,” the Olympian said.
