Guide on SSS Unemployment Benefit 2024 Application Process
SSS UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT 2024 – You can check here the details of the Unemployment Benefit offer for the members of the Social Security System.
In the Philippines, most of the people who are working in the private sector are members of the Social Security System, a social insurance giant in the country mainly called SSS. Some of the members are self-employed individuals, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), and voluntary members.
Every month, the SSS members submit a monthly contribution to maintain an updated account. An active account to the state-run social insurance institution may qualify a member to the SSS loans and the benefits offers for members. The latter includes the SSS Unemployment Benefit.
Unemployment most especially in the case of breadwinners in their families is a huge challenge. For SSS members, they may apply for an Unemployment claim to get an amount that can be a big help while seeking for a new job.
The Unemployment Benefit amount may vary but the state-run social insurance entity made it clear that only involuntary employments are covered under the offer. The following grounds disqualify a member from filing a claim:
- Serious misconduct or violation of the company’s rules and regulations
- Willful disobedience of legal orders from the employer or company
- Gross and habitual neglect of duties
- Voluntary resignation
- Willful breach of trust or commission of dishonesty
- Commission of crime or offense
