DOH reported 630 new cases of coronavirus disease in the Philippines.
The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday reported 630 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the Philippines.
This, as 467 out of 630 new COVID-19 cases were classified as “fresh” cases and the remaining 163 were classified as “late” cases. This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 30,682 as of 4:00 p.m. of June 22, 2020.
For “fresh” cases, 149 COVID-19 patients were from Metro Manila, 164 were from Central Visayas, one repatriate, and the remaining 153 came from different areas in the Philippines. On the other hand, for the “late” cases, 25 COVID-19 patients were from Metro Manila, 93 were from Central Visayas, and the remaining 45 were from different areas in the Philippines.
According to the Department of Health, the fresh cases recorded on Monday were based on its test results released to patients within the last three days, while the late cases recorded were based on the test results released to patients four days ago or more.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health also reported 250 additional recoveries and eight new fatalities due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 8,143 and total fatalities to 1,177.
