Sony announced its new schedule for “The Future of Gaming” virtual event.
Sony officially announced that the company already set its new schedule for its upcoming “The Future of Gaming” virtual event.
This, as Sony released its statement announcing the new schedule of the PlayStation 5 event, which was initially scheduled for June 4 and was rescheduled just because the company wanted to “step back and allow more important voices to be heard”
According to Sid Shuman, the Senior Director of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) Content Communications, said that the “pre-taped program” of the said event will be broadcast on June 11 at 1080p video resolution and a frame rate of 30 frames per second (fps). Sid also said that this would ease the show’s production process during a time when most of their team and developers were working from their respective homes.
In addition, Sid revealed that there were “few things as exciting” as the launch of the PlayStation 5 console, adding that the company was wanted to bring its customers on a “journey to redefine the future of videogames”.
“What is a launch without games?”
According to Sid, Sony was about to give its users a first look at the games that customers will be playing after the official launch of its upcoming console, which he candidly revealed that the console itself will launch “this holiday”.
The said event will be broadcast on June 11 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time (4:00 a.m. of June 12, Philippine time) via Sony’s official YouTube and Twitch channel.
