SSS — The Social Security System was urging its members, employers, and pensioners to use the state-run pension fund’s online services.
This, as the Philippines continued to record a high number of coronavirus cases.
On Friday, SSS president and chief executive officer Aurora C. Ignacio said in a statement that transacting with the state-run pension fund using online channels was the safest, simplest, and most convenient option for stakeholders.
Through the state-run pension fund’s online channels, Ignacio said that stakeholders can avail of services without the need to go out of their offices or homes, minimizing their risk of exposure to coronavirus disease.
Among the state-run pension fund’s online channels were the SSS Mobile App, the My.SSS Portal (here), and the uSSSap Tayo Portal (here).

Using the My.SSS Portal, members, employers, and pensioners can access their SSS information including loans, contributions, and status of benefit claims or reimbursement.
It also allowed opening the DAEM (Disbursement Account Enrollment Module) and BRM (Benefit Re-Disbursement Module), and generating Payment Reference Numbers (PRNs) for loans and contributions.
Members may also submit sickness, maternity, and retirement applications as well as calamity, salary, and pension loan applications, among others.
On the other hand, employers may submit R3 (Contribution Collection Lists), ML2 (Loan Collection Lists), R1A (Employment Reports), SS Sickness Benefit Reimbursement Applications, and Maternity Benefit Reimbursement Applications, among others.
Currently, there were more than 30 member services and nearly 20 employer services available in the My.SSS Portal. Some of those services can also be accessed via the SSS Mobile App.
The uSSSap Tayo Portal, meanwhile, enabled stakeholders and the public to conveniently find relevant SSS information to answer their questions and access a facility to communicate with the state-run pension fund for their additional concerns.
In addition, the uSSSap Tayo Portal has 3 sections — the Knowledgebase Section, the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) Section, and the Viewing and Submission of Tickets Section.
Alternative and online payment channels for SSS loans and contributions were also available.
One of which was via the state-run pension fund’s mobile app, wherein voluntary, self-employed, and Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) members can pay their contributions using their GCash account, PayMaya account, Debit Card/Credit Card, or BPI account.
