HOLIDAYS 2026 IN THE PHILIPPINES – Here are the lists of the regular holidays and the special non-working days in the country this year.

A new year has just began. Aside from checking on the predictions for the different zodiac signs this 2026 which is the Year of the Fire Horse as many Filipinos are greatly influenced by the Chinese beliefs, many people are also into looking at the list of the holidays that await this year.

The lists of the holidays 2026 in the Philippines remain long for both regular holidays and special non-working days in the country due to different national events. Malacañang has previously released the official list of holidays way ahead of the start of a new year.

Bongbong Marcos

During regular holidays, classes in schools in all levels are cancelled. Work in both the government and the private sectors are also suspended. The employees who have to report to work on a regular holiday are entitled to a holiday pay that is equivalent to 100% of the worker’s basic daily salary for the first 8 hours of duty.

During special non-working days, work is cancelled in the government but with regards to the employees in the private sector, there is a lower rate of holiday pay for those who will be reporting to work. An employee is entitled to receive a holiday pay that is equivalent to 30% of his/her basic daily pay for the first 8 hours of work.

  • April 3 — Good Friday
  • April 4 — Black Saturday

  • May 1 (Friday) — Labor Day
  • June 12 (Friday) — Independence Day
  • August 31 (Monday) —  National Heroes Day
  • August 21 (Friday) — Ninoy Aquino Day
  • November 30 (Monday) — Bonifacio Day
  • November 1 (Sunday) — All Saints Day
  • November 2 (Monday) — All Souls’ Day
  • December 24 (Thursday) — Christmas Eve
  • December 25 (Friday) — Christmas Day
  • December 30 (Wednesday) — Rizal Day
  • December 8 (Tuesday) — Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary
  • December 31 (Thursday) — Last Day of the Year
