Malacañang on Bongbong Marcos’ Very Low Trust Ratings: “Hindi iindahin ng Pangulo”

Atty. Claire Castro, Malacañang Press Official, Speaks on Marcos Jr.’s Low Trust Ratings

Malacañang credited the very low trust ratings of President Bongbong Marcos to the probe on the supposed massive corruption in the government.

Some public opinion-polling entities regularly conduct surveys to determine the trust rating of the Filipino people on the public officials who are occupying top posts in the government. The Social Weather Stations (SWS) usually conducts a poll to determine the trust rating on the president, the vice president, the House Speaker, and the Senate president.

Recently, Malacañang reacted to the very low trust rating of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro credited the results of the surveys to the flood control investigation in the government now.

The supposed multi-billion flood control corruption involved several congressmen and some senators aside from the officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). Even Pres. Bongbong Marcos himself was tagged in the supposed budget insertion issue.

According to Malacañang press officer Atty. Claire Castro, Pres. Bongbong Marcos will not mind the low trust rating because what he is allegedly doing is a right decision even if it is not known. She also stressed that the President knew that many people including government officials will be affected by the probe.

Furthermore, based on the report, Atty. Claire Castro also claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos knew that his administration will be affected. According to the Malacañang press official, the Chief Executive pushed through with the probe for the country and the people.

Amid the holiday season, Pres. Bongbong Marcos previously aired his Christmas wish.
