Donnalyn Bartolome has made an emotional announcement that has left millions of her followers stunned, as she revealed her plans to step away from her long-running vlogging career. In a recent episode on her YouTube channel titled “The Gift Reverse,” Donnalyn opened up about reflecting on what she could give herself to truly feel happy.
The episode marked a deeply personal moment for the content creator, who has built a massive online following over the years. “I never really asked myself what would really make me happy. And even if I did, the answer to that would be making others happy. It’s still the same,” she shared at the start of the vlog.
Donnalyn admitted that announcing her decision was far from easy, especially considering her channel has amassed more than 10 million subscribers. Addressing her supporters directly, she made the heartfelt declaration: “There’s no easy way to say this, especially to 10 million of you, but I’m saying goodbye to vlogging.”
She went on to describe her decision as a personal act of self-care, adding, “That is my gift to myself.”
The actress further explained that there are aspects of her life she has struggled to fully share online, which made it difficult for her to remain completely genuine in front of the camera. “There are so many things about me that I can’t share to all of you and because of that I can’t be my authentic self. Bits and pieces of me are scattered. You can’t paint the full picture with it,” she said.
Despite her decision to step back, Donnalyn expressed deep gratitude to her supporters who stood by her throughout her vlogging journey. “I wanna thank all of you. Because of your support I was able to help provide for my family, my loved ones, and other people. I was able to share opportunities with everyone around me because of you,” she shared.
She also acknowledged her imperfections and growth along the way, saying, “Thank you for your forgiveness for the time I slipped and thank you for remembering and celebrating me for the things I did right.”
Before officially closing this chapter, Donnalyn revealed that she will still release 10 final episodes on her channel. She invited viewers to participate in choosing the content and collaborators for these farewell vlogs. “So I offer you the last 10 vlogs. The last 10 and you get to choose who or which personality you want to see on the channel and what we’ll do,” she concluded.
Her announcement marks the end of an era for fans who have followed her journey online for years.
