Stuck in Traffic? Catriona Gray Has a Powerful Reminder for Everyone
CATRIONA GRAY – As holiday traffic reaches frustrating levels across Metro Manila, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray shared a heartfelt reminder that quickly resonated with many commuters.
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray shared a timely reminder after witnessing what she described as one of the heaviest traffic situations of 2025, urging everyone to remain kind and patient amid the holiday rush.
In her latest post on X on Friday, December 12, Catriona reflected on a day filled with challenges that can easily test anyone’s temper, especially as the Christmas season draws near. According to the beauty queen, the combination of crowded public spaces, congested roads, and exhausting commutes can make people more irritable than usual.

“The holiday rush is real — louder crowds, busier streets, and tougher commutes. It’s the kind of day that tests our patience and makes it easy to snap at the people around us,” said Catriona.
Recognizing how stressful the season can be, she reminded the public to consciously choose compassion, particularly toward people they may not personally know but interact with daily. She highlighted the importance of appreciating workers who continue to provide services despite difficult conditions.

“[C]hoose kindness, especially toward the strangers we meet. A little gratitude for those who serve us, a little patience for our Grab Drivers powering through the traffic just for us to arrive at our holiday celebration safe and sound.
“Also let’s appreciate our Grab delivery drivers bringing our meals despite the gridlock. When we make others feel good, we feel good too. And that kindness spreads,” added the former Miss Universe.
Catriona’s message resonated with many netizens, as holiday traffic and long travel times have become common sources of stress for commuters in Metro Manila. Her reminder emphasized that small acts of gratitude and patience can make a significant difference, not only for others but also for one’s own well-being.
She ended her post with warm greetings to everyone as the festive season approaches.
“Happy Holidays!,” she said.

Meanwhile, to help ease traffic congestion during the busy shopping season, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has prohibited malls from holding simultaneous sales. The measure aims to reduce the volume of vehicles on major roads across Metro Manila, especially during peak holiday periods.
