Pres. Bongbong Marcos Calls on Filipinos to Start with Truth, Humility and Compassion
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President released a message for the Filipinos on the Feast of the Immaculate Concepcion of the Blessed Mary.
Today is one of the long weekends this 2025 in the Philippines as December 8 is usually a special non-working day in the country. Today, countless Roman Catholics celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Mary, the Mother of Jesus.

The Catholic people celebrates the conception of the Blessed Mother of a Baby Who saved mankind from sins. He was born in a manger showing the power of humility even if He is the Son of the King. Classes in schools in all levels and work in the government offices are cancelled today. This is one of the constant holidays in the Philippine calendar.

As we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Mary Mother of God, Pres. Bongbong Marcos released a message for the Filipino people. In a message posted on the official Facebook page of the Office of the President, Marcos Jr. said he joins the Filipino nation in the observance of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Mary and called on the people to turn our gaze into the Mother of Jesus.
“Preserved from sin from the very first moment of her existence, she was able to offer her ‘yes’ to God with complete freedom and love. In Mary, the Church sees not a distant figure, but a Mother who journeys with us — interceding, guiding, and showing us what it truly means to belong to God wholeheartedly,” the President wrote.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos further stated that the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Mary Mother of Jesus is an invitation to reflect as a people. According to him, it is a reminder “that the way we begin matters”. The Chief Executive stressed that our intentions shape our outcomes.
“If we sow pride, we reap division; if we sow deceit, we reap distrust. But if we begin with truth, humility, and compassion for the least among us, we can build a more just and peaceful Bagong Pilipinas: a nation where integrity, service, and the common good guide our every action,” Marcos Jr. stated.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos expressed his hope that the purity, devotion, and unwavering faith of the Blessed Mother will be an inspiration to the Filipino people to lead lives anchored in purpose and grace. Here’s the full message of the President:
