Pres. Bongbong Marcos Speaks on the Structural Reforms in PH Gov’t under his Lead

BONGBONG MARCOS -The President hopes for the continuity of the structural reforms that were started under his watch.

The flood control investigation is currently ongoing in the Philippines. The probe is led by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure or ICI that was formed under the executive order of Marcos Jr. It is led by former Justice Andres Reyes Jr.

The supposed multi-billion flood control corruption triggered the conduct of the “Trillion Peso March”. Thousands of Filipinos joined the action protests to call for accountability from the government. Several congressmen as well as some senators were tagged in the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption in the country.

Amid the massive corruption issues in the country, Pres. Bongbong Marcos vowed that a “big fish” is included in those who will be jailed due to flood control corruption. According to the Chief Executive, those who are guilty in the supposed massive flood control corruption will not have a merry Christmas.

Furthermore, Marcos Jr. also stressed that those who are guilty in the issue will be held accountable. He also warned that the people who will help those individuals who are faced with a warrant of arrest will have to face the consequences.

Recently, amid the flood control issue in the Philippines, Pres. Bongbong Marcos expressed his hope for the continuity of the supposed structural reforms that were started under his watch. Based on a report on GMA News, he hopes that they will be institutionalized for the benefit of the people.

“My hope and the reason the structural change is important is because kahit wala na ako rito, sana ‘yung mga pagbabagong nasimulan namin o na tumatakbo na, magtuloy-tuloy na para hindi na matanggal,” the President said.

Amid his hope for the continuity of the structural reforms that were initiated by the current government, based on the report, Pres. Bongbong Marcos believes that those changes can get even better through electing the right presidents to the position. According to him, the present leaders don’t do what the past leaders in the 1970s and 1980s did as the time is different now.

“Do it (structural change) in such a way that it will continue, it will even get better, especially if we choose our presidents well,” Marcos Jr. said.

Amid the flood control issue in the country, Zaldy Co who is faced with allegations of supposed multi-billion flood control corruption tagged Marcos Jr. and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez in the budget insertion issue. According to him, they allegedly inserted a P100-billion budget in the 2025 national fund.

Co also claimed that Marcos Jr. and Romualdez allegedly received a P56-billion kickback. Previously, Pres. Bongbong Marcos claimed that Zaldy Co’s lawyer allegedly tried to blackmail him.
