Winwyn Marquez Voices Anger Over Worsening Flood Crisis
WINWYN MARQUEZ – Actress and beauty queen Winwyn Marquez couldn’t hold back her frustration as she called out government officials for the lack of accountability following the devastation caused by Typhoon Tino.
Winwyn Marquez voiced her anger and disappointment toward politicians following the destruction brought by Typhoon Tino, which caused massive devastation, particularly in the Visayas region. Through her Instagram story, Winwyn expressed her frustration over the continued effects of corruption in the country, emphasizing that poor governance and questionable infrastructure projects have worsened the recent disaster’s impact.
She also questioned why, despite nearly two months of investigation into the reported irregularities surrounding flood control projects, no one has yet been held accountable.

According to Winwyn, the country continues to suffer the consequences of these anomalous projects, yet no responsible party has been punished or imprisoned.
“May bagyo nanaman pero no one is being held accountable padin,” said Winwyn.
She continued, “Pag nag baha nanaman…what will they say this time?”
The celebrity mom criticized officials for their inaction, saying that while they continue to blame each other, little has been done to truly aid those affected by the calamity.
“While everyone keeps pointing fingers over these so-called flood control projects, has anything actually been done to truly help?” Winwyn added.
Her statement resonated with many netizens who share her frustration, as the country once again faces widespread flooding, displacement, and loss of lives caused by Typhoon Tino.

As of the latest reports, more than 114 individuals have been confirmed dead due to the typhoon’s onslaught. Authorities fear the number may still rise, with 125 people still missing, most of them from Cebu.
Winwyn’s message serves as a strong call for accountability and real action, urging leaders to move beyond investigations and excuses. For many Filipinos, her sentiments reflect the growing anger and exhaustion over repeated disasters made worse by corruption and negligence—issues that continue to plague the nation whenever another storm strikes.
