Drunken Fan Gets Beaten! Sexbomb Girls Expose Disturbing Harassment Incidents
SEXBOMB GIRLS – The Sexbomb Girls have finally broken their silence, revealing the frightening harassment encounters they faced during the peak of their fame.
The iconic dance group Sexbomb Girls faced numerous instances of harassment at the height of their fame, as revealed by members Aira Bermudez and Jopay Paguia. During their peak years, the group frequently encountered inappropriate behavior from overly aggressive male fans who could not control their impulses.
In their guest appearance on the Kapuso vodcast Your Honor, Jopay and Aira opened up about how they managed difficult situations involving harassment, especially during live performances where crowds often became uncontrollable. According to Aira, “Ay, oo marami kaming kuwento diyan,” emphasizing that they had no shortage of disturbing encounters with fans intending to grope them.
Jopay, meanwhile, shared with laughter, “Oo, nanapak kami!” revealing that there were moments when they had to physically defend themselves. As a precaution, the group advised one another to guard their bodies at all times. Jopay explained that they regularly reminded their fellow members to protect themselves from predatory fans by covering sensitive parts of their bodies with their hands.
Despite these efforts, some still managed to take advantage of the situation. Jopay recalled one particular incident during a campaign event: “Naalala ko noon, paakyat kami, kasi sa mga campaign ito. So, may bus kami doon, buong Sexbomb.” As crowds swarmed around them, they had to walk with their hands positioned defensively: “O, girls, kapag naglakad kayo, kamay sa harap (sa dibdib), ito (kaliwang kamay) sa baba (maselang bahagi ng katawan). Ganu’n. Nakaganiyan kami lagi,” she shared.
The situation escalated when one member returned to the bus crying after being touched inappropriately by a male fan. She pointed out the culprit, prompting Jopay to order, “Pakiakyat.” When the man was brought inside, Jopay recounted, “Pagdating sa loob eh, ‘Bang!’ Talagang ginulpi namin sa loob. Sorry. Alam mo ‘yun.” Aira added, “Hindi lang na may isang beses nangyari. Talagang ‘pag may umulit, hahablutin talaga namin.”
Another frightening incident occurred during a provincial show where the lights kept going out, disrupting their performance. As they decided to leave the venue, they suddenly heard some members yelling, “No, no, no!” When they looked back, the lights had turned on, revealing a drunken old man attempting to grab one of their members. “Pagtingin namin tapos may ilaw na, hawak siya ng matandang lasing,” Jopay narrated. The group once again confronted and beat the man in self-defense. As Aira summed it up, “Minsan kasi nagiging wild talaga sila.”
