Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte Continues Undas Tradition of Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte amid his ICC Detention
RODRIGO DUTERTE – The former President sent flowers for his late parents amid his continued detention in The Hague, Netherlands.
The International Criminal Court or more popularly called as ICC denied the Interim Release plea of former Pres. Duterte. All three (3) judges of the ICC Pre-Trial Chamber I yield a unanimous decision on the bid of the former Chief Executive for his temporary release.

According to the ICC, the continued detention of former Pres. Duterte is needed to ensure his attendance to the legal proceedings. The decision of the foreign court did not sit well with his eldest son, Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte, who claimed that he will make sure that his father’s arresters will pay for what they did.

It was in March 11 of this year when the Philippine authorities who assisted the International Criminal Police Organization or Interpol arrested former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte upon his arrival from Hong Kong. He was detained for several hours at Villamor Air Base and was flown to The Hague, Netherlands on the same day that he was arrested.
Aside from junking the interim release plea of the camp of the former President, the ICC also junked his camp’s challenge to its jurisdiction. The former President is faced with three (3) counts of murder as alleged “crimes against humanity” filed by the ICC prosecution.

Recently, amid his father’s continued ICC detention in The Hague, Netherlands, Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte continued the Undas tradition of the former President. Based on a report on GMA News, the Davao City 1st District Congressman gave out to food packs to share for the people at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Davao City.
According to the report, the former President used to bring food packs whenever he would visit the tombs of his late parents, Vicente and Soleded Duterte, at the Catholic cemetery. He shares the food packs with the visitors, the workers at the cemetery, as well as the residents of the barangay where the cemetery is situated.

Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte did the same thing of bringing food packs in behalf of his father. Based on the report, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte also sent flowers for his “Papa Vicente” and “Nanay Soling” on Undas.
Previously, amid the flood control mess in the Philippines, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is allegedly ‘frustrated’ amid the supposed flood control corruption in the Philippines.
