Countless Filipinos reacted to the accusations of Sen. Imee Marcos that Pres. Bongbong Marcos is allegedly using illegal drugs. She made her accusations when she appeared before the thousands of members of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) who joined the rally.

According to Sen. Imee Marcos, their family allegedly knows about the problem with regards to her younger brother and, then, he was still not her responsibility as the late former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr., their father, was still present. However, the Senator claimed that her brother became allegedly more engaged in drugs when he had a lot of time after a 2016 vice presidential loss.

Sen. Imee Marcos called on Pres. Bongbong Marcos to stop and go home for his treatment. According to her, he should be pity on himself and the Filipino people. She also claimed that she would rather see him lose the presidency that lose him to illegal drugs.

“Sa akin, I can only say for myself: Mas nakaramdam ako ng awa kay Pres. Bongbong Marcos,” the Senator said.

Furthermore, based on the post, Sen. Ping Lacson also claimed that there are allegedly other venues for the remarks of Sen. Imee Marcos. According to the Senate President Pro Tempore, such statement should not be made in front of thousands of people regardless of its veracity.
“Mayroong ibang forum para diyan. ‘Wag doon sa harap ng daanlibong tao na hayagan mong sisiraan — totoo man o hindi,” the Senator said.
Aside from Sen. Ping Lacson, another government official who reacted to the illegal drug use accusation of Sen. Imee Marcos against Pres. Bongbong Marcos was Davao Congressman Paolo Duterte.
