Kuya Kim Shares Heartwarming Story of Emman Atienza’s P28K Pizza Surprise
EMMAN ATIENZA – Kuya Kim Atienza couldn’t hold back his tears as he recalled a touching story about his late daughter Emman, who once spent P28,000 on pizza just to treat her gym friends.
Kapuso TV host Kim Atienza turned emotional once again as he delivered his heartfelt eulogy during the final night of the wake for his late daughter, 19-year-old content creator Emman Atienza. The wake, held on November 4 at Heritage Park in Taguig City, was filled with family, friends, and loved ones who came to honor and celebrate Emman’s life.
Present were Emman’s entire family—her father, Kuya Kim, her mother Felicia Atienza, and her two siblings. Holding back tears, Kuya Kim shared stories about his daughter and how their family continues to grieve her sudden passing.
“The family’s been going through a very tough few days. You give us comfort, our family and friends. But tonight is a night of thanksgiving. Tonight, I thank the Lord for what a beautiful life that He gave me,” he said.
“It’s a night of thanksgiving for the 19 beautiful years that He gave Emman to us. I have a beautiful wife, Feli, I have beautiful kids. I thank the Lord for that. Emman was such a beautiful, beautiful, kind person. She was so generous,” Kuya Kim added. “She had no value for money. She’d ask money from Mama, ask money from Papa, ask money from Lolo… to give away.”
He recalled how Emman would often share what she had, including one Christmas when she gave away almost all the money she received from her grandfather. “Emman told me, ‘Papa, I gave P30,000 to your driver. I gave P20,000 to Alicia. I gave P10,000 to our gardener.’ They were crying. I told her, ‘They cried because they’ve never received anything that big in their life. And I’m so proud of you,’” he recounted.
Kuya Kim also remembered one instance when Emman spent P28,000 on pizza for her gym friends. “While I was having lens installed, it takes about 30 minutes, e, Emman said, ‘Papa, I wanna treat my friends in the gym, pizza.’ I said, ‘Okay!’ So she went to Domino’s Pizza. … The bill was P28,000. She bought 20 pizzas, around a hundred slices for all her friends in the gym. That’s my Emman. So generous!”
With a trembling voice, Kuya Kim ended his eulogy with love and gratitude. “Emman, I love you. Say hello to Jesus for me. Tonight is not a night of mourning. It’s a night of thanksgiving.”
