Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga Accuses Marcos, Romualdez of Alleged Corruption
KIKO BARZAGA – The young Cavite Congressman accused “Marcos and Romualdez” of alleged corruption amid the devastation of Cebu due to Typhoon Tino.
Cebu is greatly affected by the wrath of Typhoon Tino that brought heavy rains and strong winds when it crossed the province. Several cities in the province were submerged in deep flooding after the dams overflowed due to the heavy rains.
The floodwater level of #TinoPH reached the roof of the single-storey houses. Many residents had no choice but to climb their roofs for their safety as they waited for the rescuers. Many Cebuanos claimed that it was allegedly the first time that that kind of flooding happened and a lot of them were traumatized by it.
Typhoon Tino’s death toll hit over 100 in Cebu and Negros provinces amid the ongoing search and rescue operations. Recently, amid the extreme devastation in Cebu following the impacts of the storm, Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga threw accusations against “Marcos and Romualdez”.
Cong. Kiko Barzaga is seemingly referring to Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez, the presidential cousin who is also a Leyte Congressman. According to him, no one will allegedly die in Cebu if “Marcos and Romualdez” if they did not steal.
Furthermore, Barzaga stated in his post wherein he blamed “Marcos and Romualdez” that “corruption kills our citizens”. The young Cavite Congressman called for the imprisonment of the President.
Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga is a staunch critic of the Marcos Jr. administration. Previously, he even showed a document that was allegedly an impeachment complaint against Pres. Bongbong Marcos. He wants to sue him over the supposed betrayal of public trust over the flood control mess in the Philippines.
Barzaga was previously linked to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. However, according to the Vice President, the young Congressman is allegedly his own person who has his own principles and cannot be controlled. She claimed that she only met him during the UniTeam rally when he supported her tandem with Marcos Jr. even if his parents were only supporting her.
Previously, amid the flood control issue in the Philippines, Cong. Kiko Barzaga led an anti-Marcos protest.
