Pres. Bongbong Marcos Says Anti-Corruption Rally Not Source for Concern
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President spoke on the anti-corruption rally that is set on November 30 amid the flood control mess in the Philippines.
Countless Filipinos demand for accountability over the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption in the Philippines. Several senators and congressmen were linked to the issue. The corruption mess brought many Filipinos on the streets to protest against corruption last September 21.

Previously, Pres. Bongbong Marcos claimed that if he is not the president, he might join the street protests against corruption. Malacañang also previously assured that the President is not worried over the anti-corruption rally.

Amid the allegations that the government’s actions on the flood control issue is allegedly low, Pres. Bongbong Marcos claimed that they are ensuring that the charges against the flood control culprits are strong for conviction. According to him, it will allegedly be a much worse scenario if the flood control culprits will be acquitted due to weak charges.
Another anti-corruption rally is set for November 30 and it is expected to be a much bigger protest. Based on a report on PhilStar, Pres. Bongbong Marcos said that the rally is not a source for concern but he is worried over individuals who might cause trouble or hurt people.
“Those are the people that we are worried about. And those are the people that we are watching out for. We have a good idea of who they are,” Marcos Jr. said.

Based on the report, Pres. Bongbong Marcos claimed that the reason behind the anti-corruption rallies is over the “egregious” and “shameless” projects as well as the dishonestly committed by some individuals behind it. He stressed that the money corrupted is supposed to be for the Filipino people.
“Those funds are supposed to go to people to feed people, to make their lives better. And that all disappear because they’re buying airplanes and buying big mansions. You know, of course they’ll be angry,” the President said.
According to Marcos Jr. the confidence of the investors has allegedly been restored because of the actions towards corruption. He also expressed his confidence that the Independent Commission for Infrastructure supposedly stands on solid ground despite questions about its legality.
Amid the flood control control issue in the Philippines and the calls for accountability, Ombudsman Boying Remulla claimed that they are set to file the first batch of flood control charges this month.
