Pres. Bongbong Marcos Gives Update on Gov’t Efforts over Flood Control Corruption Issue
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President claimed that the camp of Zaldy Co allegedly tried to blackmail him so his passport won’t be cancelled.
Zaldy Co has yet to return to the Philippines amid the calls for him to go back and testify under oath. He recently tagged the President and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez in the flood control mess and the corruption issues in the country.

According to Zaldy Co, Pres. Bongbong Marcos and former Speaker Romualdez allegedly ordered the P100-billion budget insertion in the country’s funds for this year. He also accused the President and the former House Speaker of supposedly receiving a P56-billion kickback aside from some other alleged budget insertions.

Zaldy Co also recently exposed the alleged budget insertions of presidential son and Ilocos Norte Congressman Sandro Marcos. According to him, the younger Marcos had inserted over P50 billion in the national budget from 2022 to 2025.
Co is faced with an arrest warrant now after charges have been filed against him. The government also seeks for the cancellation of his passport which would limit his movements. Ombudsman Boying Remulla previously claimed that he was allegedly last seen in Japan.

Ombudsman Remulla stressed that as long as they have the legal authority, they will bring Co back to the Philippines to face the accusations against him. Contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya, some officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and his former aide, Orly Guteza, tagged the resigned Ako Bicol Partylist Representative to the flood control mess.
Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos released a video wherein he claimed that Zaldy Co’s camp allegedly attempted to blackmail him. According to the Chief Executive, the lawyer of Co supposedly told them that if they will not cancel Co’s passport, he will stop releasing videos on social media.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos also expressed no fear if Zaldy Co will release more videos. Based on his post, he stressed that he does not negotiate with criminals as he told Co that his passport will still be cancelled.
”I do not negotiate with criminals.
Amid the corruption issues against him, Senator Imee Marcos also accused the President of allegedly using illegal drugs. Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte offered to accompany Pres. Marcos Jr. in undertaking a drug test.
