Actor Anjo Yllana Speaks on Political Desires
ANJO YLLANA – The actor and former Parañaque Vice Mayor claimed that he wants to run for senator under the Duterte bloc given a chance.
Recently, Anjo made several headlines due to his remarks in his livestreams on social media. The former Eat Bulaga host shocked many Filipinos when he spoke against Senate President Tito Sotto. He claimed that he will expose the alleged “mistress” of the Senate President if Sotto will not prove that his salary is being donated for the scholars’ education as he has promised during his campaign.
The actor claimed that Sotto and his alleged other woman supposedly started their affair in 2013. Anjo Yllana also called on Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to undergo a hair follicle drug test. According to him, the public notices his alleged facial deformation when speaking and the people supposedly knows the reason why.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos was mum on the former Eat Bulaga host’s remarks but Malacañang slammed Anjo Yllana asking him who is he to demand from Marcos Jr. According to Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro, who is he for the President to pay attention to him.
Previously, Anjo Yllana claimed that some of his followers allegedly want him to run for president or vice president but he is not taking their calls seriously. Meanwhile, he admitted that he is thinking about running for senator. He stressed that he wants to be the senator who is against corruption. He stressed that there is allegedly one less corrupt government official if he will win a seat in the Senate.
Based on a post on social media, Anjo Yllana also claimed that he wants to run for senator under the Duterte bloc if he is given a chance. According to the actor-turned-politician, he has long thought about taking the senatorial race and he believes in the principles and leadership of the Dutertes.
“Handa na ako. Matagal ko nang pinag-isipan ito. Kung bibigyan ng pagkakataon, gusto kong tumakbo bilang senador sa ilalim ng Duterte bloc. Naniniwala ako sa kanilang prinsipyo at pamumuno, at sa paniniwala nilang dapat inuuna ang tao, hindi politika,” he said.
Based on the post, Anjo Yllana also claimed that he is not a tradition politician and he wants to change the culture of politics and the alleged self-serving service in the Senate. He wants to push measures for the protection of the laborers, transparency in the utilization of government funds, and the boosting of education.
Previously, Senate Pres. Tito Sotto reacted to the allegations of Anjo Yllana against him. They were co-hosts in the noontime variety show Eat Bulaga.
