Comedian Anjo Yllana Speaks on Political Plans
ANJO YLLANA – The actor claimed that some of his followers allegedly want him to run for president or vice president but he is thinking about the race for senator.
Former Parañaque Vice Mayor Andrés José “Anjo” Yllana Jr. recently sparked headlines with his remarks against Senate Pres. Tito Sotto and Pres. Bongbong Marcos. The actor challenged Sotto, his former co-host in Eat Bulaga, to release a proof that he is really giving his salary to his scholars.

It was the campaign promise of Senate Pres. Tito Sotto to give his salary for the scholars. His office previously claimed that the Senator gave his P471k salaries for two (2) months to help the poor students. Anjo Yllana challenged him to prove it as he issued a threat to expose the alleged “mistress” of the Senate President if he will not do it.

Anjo and Tito were co-hosts in Eat Bulaga for several years. The latter is one of the big bosses of the long-running noontime variety show and he is one of the mainstays. According to the former, the Senator and his supposed other woman allegedly met in 2013.
Aside from Sotto, Anjo Yllana also spoke about Pres. Bongbong Marcos. He pointed out that the President allegedly usually has a deformed facial expression that the publicly supposedly knows why. He called on Marcos Jr. to undergo a hair follicle drug test.

Marcos Jr., like in other calls for him to undergo a drug test, was silent. Recently, Anjo Yllana admitted that he is thinking about running for senator. Based on a report on Pep, he even claimed that some of his followers want him to run for president or vice president.
“Ang bottomline, gusto nila akong tumakbong senador. Yung iba nga, vice-president, yung iba president. Pero hindi ko naman sineseryoso yun,” he said.

Anjo Yllana said he is thinking about running for senator as many government officials are allegedly corrupt. According to the actor, if he will win as senator, there is allegedly one less corrupt government official and another one honest senator.
“Pero yung pagka-senador, pinag-iisipan ko dahil ngayon, maraming magnanakaw ang nakaupo. Kapag nanalo akong senador, mababawasan ng isang magnanakaw,” he added.
Based on the article, Anjo Yllana said he will run for senator if he can help the country have an honest senator who will fight against corruption. He also wants the reinstatement of the death penalty for the corrupt government officials.
