Navotas Cong. Toby Tiangco Bares Wealth amid Corruption Issues in PH Gov’t
TOBY TIANGCO – The Navotas Congressman declared a net worth of P213.9 million in the Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) that he filed as of June 2025.
Several senators bared copies of their SALNs following the request of the Ombudsman to voluntarily disclose the document bearing their assets, liabilities, and net worth. The call of Ombudsman Boying Remulla came after he restored the public access on the SALN of the government officials. It came amid the height of the corruption issues in the Philippine government.

Several senators immediately heed the call of the Ombudsman. Based on the SALN released by the lawmakers in the Senate, Sen. Chiz Escudero is the poorest among the senators with a net worth of P18, 840,082.62. Undeniably, the net worth declaration of Escudero sparked abuzz on social media.

Two (2) senators are billionaires based on their Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth. Sen. Mark Villar is the richest senator in the Philippine government with a net worth of P1,261,337,817.00. Sen. Raffy Tulfo released a joint SALN with his wife, ACT-CIS partylist Rep. Jocelyn Tulfo, showing a net worth of P1.05 billion making him the second richest lawmaker in the Senate.

Previously, amid the Ombudsman’s call on the senators, House Speaker Bojie Dy said the members of the House of Representatives are ready to craft rules on the members’ disclosure of their SALNs. Recently, ahead of the rules, Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco released a copy of his SALN.
Based on a report on PhilStar, Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco declared a net worth of P213.9 million as of June 2025 based on his SALN. His real properties are worth P109,030,930.20 while his personal properties are worth P111,119,.657.97 bringing his total asset to P220,150,588.20.
