Sen. Ping Lacson’s Net Worth Shows Massive Growth from 2022 to 2025
PING LACSON’S NET WORTH – The Senator vowed to provide more details about the growth of his wealth which is nearly P200 million in just 3 years.
Public officials are mandated to update their Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth or SALN yearly. Recently, Ombudsman Boying Remulla restored the public access to the SALNs of government officials. Such document was previously guarded by restrictions that were implemented during the term of retired Ombudsman Samuel Martires.

The lifting of the restrictions on the public access to the SALN of the government officials was among the first tasks that Remulla listed following his appointment. He is a former secretary of the Department of Justice. Pres. Bongbong Marcos chose Remulla to be the country’s next chief graft-buster among the seven applicants in the shortlist submitted by the Judiciary and Bar Council (JBC).

It was in 2020 during the term of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte when then-Ombudsman Samuel Martires implemented a circular that requires the consent of the owner of the SALN for the release of his/her document. Now, the consent is no longer needed.
The Ombudsman is the repository of the SALNs of the president, the vice president, the local government officials, and the officials of the constitutional commissions. Following the changes implemented by the country’s chief graft-buster, the House of Representatives said they are willing to craft rules regarding the disclosure of the SALNs of the House members.

Recently, some senators also released their SALNs. Sen. Ping Lacson’s net worth was also disclosed and it was found that the wealth of the Senate President Pro Tempore grew by nearly P200 million in just three (3) years.
Based on a report on GMA News, Sen. Ping Lacson’s net worth grew from P58,771,409.62 as of June 30, 2022 to P244,940,509.60 as of June 30, 2025. According to the Senator, he engaged in business activities when his term in the Senate ended in 2022.

Sen. Ping Lacson ran for the presidency in 2022 but lost to now-Pres. Bongbong Marcos. According to the Senate President Pro Tempore, he engaged in some legit real estate and trading business activities during the time when he was not a government official.
“When I left the senate in 2022, along with 2 business partners, we engaged in some legitimate and successful real estate/trading business activities, hence the substantial spike in my net worth,” the Senator said.
Sen. Ping Lacson’s net worth is backed by the release of his income tax returns in 2022 and in 2025. Based on the report, the Senator paid P4,817,265 for his income tax in 2022 for the taxable year 2021. In 2025, his income tax was at P11,834,033.37 for the taxable year 2024. The Senator vowed to provide further details about his SALN for 2025.
