Kiko Barzaga on Next Anti-Marcos Protest: “Mag-announce muna sila kung magkano at kung kailan sila magnanakaw”

Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga Leads Call for Marcos Jr.’s Resignation

KIKO BARZAGA – The Cavite Congressman was asked about next anti-Marcos protest rally of his group following the event outside Forbes Park Village in Makati City.

Cong. Barzaga is one of the vocal government officials with regards to the supposed multi-billion corruption through the flood control projects of the government. Amid the isue, Barzaga previously claimed that Zaldy Co might be the “fall guy”. The former Ako Bicol Partylist Representative resigned from his position amid the allegations of corruption and has yet to return to the Philippines.

Aside from Co, former House Speaker Martin Romualdez who recently resigned from the House leadership is also accused of allegedly corruption billions of money from the people through the flood control projects. He denied the accusation and stepped down from being the House Speaker as he supposedly want the investigation to roll without undue influence.

Recently, a protest rally was held outside the Forbes Park Village in Makati City where Romualdez and Co reportedly have residences. The said action protest was led by Cavite 4th District Rep. Kiko Barzaga. Based on the post of the Cavite Congressman, members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) were deployed in the area.

Cong. Kiko Barzaga and the protesters he led called for the resignation of Pres. Bongbong Marcos amid the flood control issue in the Philippines. Based on a post of ABS-CBN News, during an interview at the rally, the Cavite Solon was asked when would be the next protest action of his group.

“Mag-announce muna sila kung magkano at kung kailan sila magnanakaw para ano, may free exchange of information kami. Kasi hindi naman namin kailangang sabihin kung magpro-protesta. They’re stealing anytime, we’re protesting anytime,” he said based on the post.

Previously, the Cavite Congressman disclosed that he is allegedly set to file an impeachment complaint against Pres. Bongbong Marcos. He accused the President of supposed betrayal of public trust amid the flood control mess in the country.

Following his claim, the Palace spoke about Marcos Jr. with regards to the alleged impeachment complaint to be filed by Cong. Kiko Barzaga against him.
