Former Presidential Spox Harry Roque Speaks on Calls for Marcos Jr.’s Resignation
HARRY ROQUE – Duterte’s former Spokesman pointed out that Senator Imee Marcos is still not calling for the resignation of President Bongbong Marcos.
Amid the flood control issues in the Philippines that supposedly involves a multi-billion corruption of the government funds, there are many Filipinos who are calling for Pres. Bongbong Marcos to step down. This is one of the calls of some protesters during the “Trillion Peso March” that was held last September 21.

Meanwhile, in most cases, the protesters of the Trillion Peso March called for an end to corruption in the Philippine government. There are many Filipinos who called on the government to hold the corrupt officials accountable. Amid the flood control mess, Cavite Representative Kiko Barazaga claimed that he is allegedly set to file an impeachment complaint against Marcos Jr.

Barazaga wants the President ousted from his position due to alleged betrayal of public trust over the flood control mess in the country now. Malacañang previously claimed that Marcos Jr. is allegedly “too busy” to pay attention on the impeachment complaint that Rep. Kiko Barazaga plans to file against him.
The Palace stressed that the President is busy helping the Filipino people and paving the way for more jobs to uplift the country. Malacañang press officer undersecretary Claire Castro stressed that Marcos Jr. is not spending time on pulling the dignity of the country now.

Following the claim of Cavite Rep. Kiko Barazaga that he is allegedly set to file an impeachment complaint against Pres. Bongbong Marcos, based on a post on social media, Duterte’s former spokesman Harry Roque pointed out that Sen. Imee Marcos is still not calling for the resignation of her brother. The Senator sided with the Duterte family amid the political turmoil in the Philippine government.
“Marami sa atin ang humihingi na ng “Marcos Resign” pero pansin ninyo po ha, ang hindi humihingi ng “Marcos Resign” eh mga kapamilya mismo ni Bongbong Marcos. Bagama’t nagiging matapang na si Manang Imee, hindi pa rin niya sinasabing, ‘Mag-resign ka na, Ading, at ikaw ay magpahinga na,” Roque said.

Harry Roque also stressed the previous claim of Sen. Imee Marcos that the government now is allegedly not ran by a Marcos but a Romualdez and an Araneta — seemingly referring to former House Speaker Martin Romualdez and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos. Based on the post, Duterte’s former Spokesman stressed that it is still allegedly the mistake of Pres. Bongbong Marcos if it is the case.
“Pero sinasabi niya talaga na wala na raw, hindi na raw namumuno ang mga Marcos kundi ang mga Romualdez at mga Araneta pero sinong may kasalanan diyan kundi ‘yung kapatid niya mismo na dahilan nga para siya ay magbitiw na dahil iyan ay betrayal of public trust,” Harry Roque said.

Previously, amid his stay in The Hague for several months now, Harry Roque called for the immediate ouster of Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
