Duterte’s Former Spox Harry Roque Speaks on PH Gov’t Corruption Anew
HARRY ROQUE – The former Spokesman of ex-President Rodrigo Roa Duterte drew attention online with his remark while he was speaking about government corruption.
When the custody of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte was transferred to the International Criminal Court, that was also the same time when Roque, his former spokesman, was seen again in public. He was hiding for several months already prior to it after the House of Representatives cited him for contempt.

Roque is being investigated over his alleged involvement in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in the country. In The Hague, he offered to be one of the lawyers who will defend his former boss. He vowed to the Filipino people that he will return Duterte home.

However, Harry Roque was not chosen to be part of the ICC legal team of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. According to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, her father’s former Spokesman should focus on his application for asylum. He is currently an asylum seeker in The Netherlands.
Despite being away from the country, Duterte’s former Spokesman remains vocal over the issues in the Philippines. Harry Roque even told Pres. Bongbong Marcos to give the presidency to someone with the “right mindset”. Amid the flood control mess in PH, he called for “People Power” to oust Marcos Jr.

Roque also recently complained that the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) allegedly keeps on running after him but not former House Speaker Martin Romualdez and Zaldy Co. Marcos Jr.’s cousin and Co are two (2) of the government officials tagged in the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption.
Recently, Harry Roque spoke anew on the corruption issue in the Philippine government. During a TV interview, he was asked about his appeal for November 30 if it is about the Marcos administration or a call against corruption. However, Duterte’s former Spokesman seemingly had a slip of the tongue.
“Sabay-sabay na po ‘yan dahil alam naman natin na ang korapsyon ay nangyari sa administrasyon ni Tat — ni Marcos Jr. at alam din natin na si Marcos Jr. ang nangidnap at nagpadala dito kay Tatay Digong,” Roque said in his response.

Several netizens speculated that he was about to say “Tatay Digong”. Harry Roque also reacted to the decision of the ICC junking the challenge to its jurisdiction. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Duterte’s camp has filed an appeal for the reversal of the decision.
“Alam niyo masakit dun sa desisyon, eh parang sinumbatan pa tayo ng ICC na kung walang jurisdiction ang ICC, eh bakit ang gobyerno niyo nagpadala pa dito kay Tatay Digong. ‘Yan po ang napakalaking kasalanan ng Marcos administrastion,” Duterte’s former Spox said.
Previously, Harry Roque also reacted to the claims that he is not an original supporter of Duterte.
