Kaye Abad Reveals Why She Feels Blessed to Have Paul Jake Castillo’s Parents as In-Laws

Inside Kaye Abad’s Admiration for Her “Very Simple, Very Generous” In-Laws

KAYE ABAD – Actress Kaye Abad couldn’t help but gush over her in-laws, describing them as humble, generous, and deeply grounded despite their family’s success.

Kaye Abad openly shared her deep appreciation for the parents of her husband, Paul Jake Castillo, during a heartfelt conversation with Melai Cantiveros on Kuan on One. The actress described her in-laws as humble, practical, and generous, despite the family’s established background.

“I’m very lucky to have them as my in-laws,” Kaye said, emphasizing how blessed she feels to be part of their family.

Kaye noted that her in-laws, despite their business success, have remained grounded and down-to-earth. “Mabait sila and they are very simple. Hindi sila ‘yung mayayaman na may engrandeng bahay. Sila very simple, very practical family,” she explained.

The Castillo family owns a large pharmaceutical and consumer goods company based in Cebu. Yet, according to Kaye, wealth has not changed their values. Instead, Paul Jake, and his siblings were raised with strong discipline and a strong work ethic.

“Na-appreciate ko ang father and mother-in-law ko because they raised their children very well. Silang magkakapatid sina Paul Jake, [they told them] na mag-work talaga kayo. Di ba ‘yung ibang mayayaman na may family business, ‘yung iba maghihintay na lang na tumangap ng dividend. Ang mother and father-in-law ko sila talaga, ‘Hindi. Mag-work talaga kayo para may maipamana kayo sa inyong kids,” she shared.

Kaye further admired their compassion, particularly towards the household staff. She recalled how they extended help to their helpers during the devastation brought by Typhoon Odette in Cebu. “And very, very generous sila, very helpful. Kahit sa mga helpers namin, di ba nag [bagyong] Odette sa Cebu, tinulungan talaga nila lahat ng helpers namin, very generous talaga sila,” she recounted.

Since marrying Paul Jake in December 2016, Kaye has been living in Cebu, where they are raising their two sons, Joaquin and Iñigo. Her glowing words about her in-laws reflect not only the admiration she feels for them but also the strong family values they uphold—values she and Paul Jake are now passing on to their own children.
