Duterte’s Former Spox Harry Roque Speaks on Pres. Bongbong Marcos amid the Corruption Issues in PH
HARRY ROQUE – Duterte’s former presidential spokesman asserted that President Bongbong Marcos allegedly needs to resign now.
The flood control mess in the Philippines triggered the conduct of the “Trillion Peso March” that was held yesterday, September 21, in several areas across the nation. Based on the records of the Philippine National Police, at least 60,000 people joined the protest actions against corruption. According to PNP, the anti-corruption protest actions is “generally peaceful”.
Amid the Trillion Peso March in the Philippines, the Duterte supporters in The Hague, Netherlands held their so-called “Convergence Day” as they call for the release of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. The former Chief Executive is detained under the custody of the International Criminal Court in The Hague for six (6) months now.
During the “Convergence Day” celebration, one of the attendees was Duterte’s former spokesman Harry Roque. Based on a report on GMA News, at the event, Roque stressed that there are three (3) calls as they celebrate the “Convergence Day”.
According to former Duterte’s spokesman Harry Roque, the first call is for the release of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. He stressed that it is allegedly God already who found a way for his liberty citing that he has no longer enough strength to face the cases against him so they have to be dismissed.
The second call during the “Convergence Day” according to Harry Roque is for the resignation of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on the report, the blatant corruption and the alleged government neglect show that the Chief Executive needs to resign.
“Pangalawa po, dahil sa lantarang korapsyon dahil sa kapabayaan ng gobyerno, kinakailangan talagang mag-resign na si BBM Marcos Jr. at pangatlo po, naniniwala ako na panahon na ng tunay na pagbabago sa Pilipinas at sa pagbibitiw ni Marcos… hayaan na natin si [Vice President] Sara Duterte,” Roque said.
Based on the report, the ex-wife of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Elizabeth Zimmerman, also joined the “Convergence Day”. According to him, the former President is healthy and fit. She also stressed that there is nothing to worry about as there is a doctor as well as a nurse that always check on him.
“Thank you for all the Filipinos all over the world who has been supporting us since March 23, it is overwhelming. Your undying love for the President, for Rodrigo, is so fantastic,” the former President’s ex-wife said.
Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that her contacts abroad helped her for the interim release of the former President. According to him, there is a “third country” that is committed to accept Duterte for his interim release.
