Pres. Bongbong Marcos “Not for One Moment” Regretted being in the Presidency despite PH Problems

BONGBONG MARCOS – The President claimed that he has no regrets in being president calling it as the “greatest privilege”.

Marcos Jr. is halfway of his presidential term in the Philippines now. Last July 28, he delivered his 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA) wherein he emphasized that education in the country remains his top priority. The President also took swipe at the corrupt officials of the government during his annual address.

Furthermore, during his 4th SONA, the President admitted the failure in some flood control projects of the government. A few weeks after the event, in a press conference, Pres. Bongbong Marcos revealed that the PH spent P545-billion for the flood control projects since 2022. He stressed it as an “enormous” amount.

The President also flagged 15 contractors. According to him, they got around P100 billion out of the total P545-billion spending of the government for the flood control deals. Here are the contractors flagged by Marcos Jr.:

Recently, the first part of the Episode 4 of the BBM Podcast was released. During his interview with Kapuso news anchor Vicky Morales, Pres. Bongbong Marcos was asked if there was a time that he regretted being the president of the country amid the many problems that the nation is facing now.

Marcos Jr. is firm and straightforwardly answered in the negative. According to him, “not for one moment” that he regretted being the president of the country. During the interview, he also called the presidency as “the greatest privilege”.

“I am given the opportunity to actually—the privilege, the opportunity, and the chance to actually do something. All of the things that I complained about all my life, now I can do something about it. And that is the greatest privilege that anyone can be granted, so no, I don’t regret it,” Pres. Bongbong Marcos said.

During the interview, Vicky Morales noticed the tears-filled eyes of the President as he talked about the issues in the country. When asked, Marcos Jr. admitted that he’s “teary-eyed” due to the dismay over the Filipinos’ suffering due to the flood control corruption.
