QC Rep. Arjo Atayde Reacts To Claims of Curlee Discaya during Senate Flood Probe
ARJO ATAYDE – The actor-turned-politician is quick to deny the accusation of the Discayas that he allegedly received commission from the flood control deals with the government in his city.
Currently, there is an ongoing Senate flood probe which invited both Pacifico ‘Curlee’ Discaya and Cezarah ‘Sarah’ Discaya who are the most popular contractors flagged by President Bongbong Marcos. Unexpectedly, at the said hearing, the contractors made strong claims and dropped names.

According to the Discayas, there are allegedly several congressmen and officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) who supposedly get commission from the projects awarded to their construction firms. Sarah Discaya claimed that they never wanted to part of the said “system” in winning government deals but they are allegedly forced to do it for the sake of their businesses and employees.

It was Curlee Discaya who red their written claims that dropped the names of the DPWH officials and congressmen who allegedly get commission from them. Countless people were shocked when the Discayas claimed that Quezon City Representative Arjo Atayde is one of the congressmen who allegedly asks commission from their DPWH projects. They also named Pasig City Rep. Roman Romulo and Marikina Rep. Marcy Teodoro.

Prior to becoming a politician, Arjo Atayde, the son of veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez, is one of the most brilliant, in-demand, and multi-awarded actors in the showbiz industry. Currently, he is serving his second term as congressman of Quezon City. He is the husband of actress Maine Mendoza.

Following the claims of the Discayas that he allegedly receives commission from their DPWH projects, Quezon City Rep. Arjo Atayde is quick to deny the accusations against him. Based on a post of News5, he claimed that he has never dealt with the Discaya couple.
“Hindi po totoo ang mga akusasyon na ito. I have never used my position for personal gain, and I never will. I will avail of all remedies under the law to clear my name and hold accountable those who spread these falsehoods,” QC Rep. Arjo Atayde said.
More updates may be posted soon amid an ongoing Senate hearing…
In a previous Senate hearing, Sarah Discaya claimed that she owns nine (9) construction companies.
