Why Miss Grand PH 2025 Finals Suddenly Postponed

Miss Grand PH 2025 Finals Moved— Here’s Why

MISS GRAND PH 2025 – Find out the reason why the highly anticipated Miss Grand International Philippines 2025 coronation night has been pushed back.

The Miss Grand International Philippines 2025 coronation night has been rescheduled from August 12 to August 24, following the recent series of typhoons that have affected many parts of the country. The event will still take place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City as originally planned.

The decision to postpone the highly anticipated pageant was announced through the official social media accounts of the organization. The national pageant said on social media that the “difficult but necessary decision” was made “[i]n light of the recent calamities that have deeply affected many of our fellow Filipinos—and with more typhoons expected in the coming weeks.”

The organization emphasized the importance of prioritizing the welfare of Filipinos during this difficult time. “Like many other major events, we believe it is not appropriate to continue with celebrations while many are still recovering. Out of respect, empathy, and concern for the safety and well-being of our communities, we are rescheduling our Grand Finals,” continued the Miss Grand International Philippines pageant.

Previously, the swimsuit competition, scheduled to take place on July 26 in Alaminos, Pangasinan, had already been postponed due to adverse weather conditions.

The Philippines faced three consecutive weather disturbances last month—Tropical Storm Emong and Typhoons Crising and Dante, which brought significant devastation across Luzon and led to at least 26 reported fatalities.

Despite the delay, the excitement remains high as Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza, the first Filipina to win the Miss Grand International “golden crown,” prepares to crown her successor from a competitive lineup of 29 candidates.

Notable contenders include seasoned pageant veterans Emma Mary Tiglao, Shanon Tampon, Michelle Arceo, and Francesca Beatriz Abalajon McLelland, as well as former titleholders like Nikki Chevez, Anita Rose Gomez, and Angeleyh Pasco.

In addition to the Miss Grand Philippines title, the finals will also select the country’s delegate to Miss Asia Pacific International 2025. Two reigning queens—Dia Mate (Reina Hispanoamericana) and Jeanne Isabelle Bilasano (Face of Beauty International)—will also pass on their crowns during the event.
