Comedian Vice Ganda Takes Swipe at Corrupt Government Officials

VICE GANDA – The Unkabogable Star took swipe at the corrupt individuals who are allegedly sharing among themselves the millions he pay for his taxes.

The current issues surrounding the alleged anomalous flood control projects in the Philippines are testing the public trust on the government once again. Several “ghost” and “substandard” flood control projects in the different areas across the nation were exposed. It left President Bongbong Marcos disappointed and angry.

Several Filipinos including celebrities in the entertainment industry were shocked, saddened, and triggered by the seemingly widespread corruption in the government which is seen now to involve billions. Recently, while he did not dropped names, Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda took swipe at the corrupt government officials who are allegedly pocketing the money he pays for his taxes.

Vice Ganda is undeniably one of the most in-demand and successful stars in the Philippine showbiz industry. He is a mainstay host of the ABS-CBN variety show It’s Showtime which is airing for more than a decade now. He is also the main star of several huge comedy films that gathered the crowd in cinemas.

Amid his big projects, Vice has visibly secured many of the biggest material luxuries in life — real estate properties, lavish vehicles, and many others. He also enjoys a life wherein he can easily go on a vacation anytime he wants with his financial status now. However, truth be told that big earners are also big taxpayers in the country.

Currently, Vice Ganda is in London. In his recent Instagram story, the Unkabogable Star took swipe at the corrupt government officials who are allegedly pocketing the millions he pay for his taxes. According to the Comedian, the goods in London are really pricey so they opted to just buy in the market during their first day and just cooked at their Airbnb accommodation so they can save money.

Vice Ganda further stated that it is already the third day that they eat adobo. However, in his Instagram Story, the Comedian stated that he suddenly remembered the millions he pay for his taxes which are allegedly being shared by the corrupt government officials.

“Super tipid ako dito sa London kasi ang mahal. Kaya namalengke na Iang kami nung first day at nagluto dito sa Airbnb. Pangatlong araw na naming iniinit ‘tong natirang adobo. Tapos bigla kong naalala ‘yung milyon-milyon kong tax na pinaghahati-hatian ng mga garapal na magnanakaw. Aray koooo!!!!” Vice stated in his post.

Amid the flood control project issue in the Philippines now, Pres. Bongbong Marcos ordered “lifestyle check” among all the government officials. According to the Palace, the said “lifestyle check” will begin with the officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Several government officials and members of his Cabinet agreed to the order of the President. Amid the call, Malacañang confirmed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos is also ready be under a “lifestyle check” and to disclose his SALN or his Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth.
