Sen. Robin Padilla being Considered for Senate Ethics Committee

ROBIN PADILLA – The Senator who already leads several Senate committees may be the Senate Committee on Ethics chairman in the 20th Congress.

Following the election for the key positions in the Senate such as the Senate President, the Senate President Pro Tempore who will act as the chief of the chamber in the absence of the SP, the Senate Majority Leader, and the Senate Minority Leader, the senators decided the committee chairmanships in the 20th Congress.

Compared to the number of senators in the 20th Congress, there are more Senate committees, thus, there are lawmakers who leads multiple Senate committees like senators Imee Marcos and Robin Padilla. The actor-turned-senator is the head of the Constitutional Amendments and Revision of Codes  Committee, Cultural Communities and Muslim Affairs Committee and Public Information and Mass Media Committee.

However, recently, based on a source of Inquirer, Sen. Robin Padilla is allegedly willing to give up his chairmanship of the Constitutional Amendments and Revision of Codes  Committee to a “more competent” senator. The actor-turned-Senator has yet to confirm it but Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva confirmed that they are considering Padilla for another post.
